Geocaching!

Geocaching is a great hobby that has taken the country by storm. Do you enjoy treasure hunts? Are you good with directions or would you like to get better? Geocaching is a fun way to combine using GPS technology while improving your orienteering skills. Go with your family and friends or as a class trip. Just remember, you should bring something to put in the cache if you plan on taking something out. Sometimes it is just as much fun to see who else has found that cache and when. Maybe you'll be the first! What's really cool is that there are caches in cities, states and countries all around the world. I have some friends who have located hundreds of caches!

Groundspeak® is a company located in Seattle, WA that really made geocaching what it is today. They have a great locator and lots of cool advice. You can search for "caches" or "treasures" by zip code, state, etc. You will need a GPS device to find locations precisely.
